uc3842

The UC3842 is a highly integrated PWM controller designed for use in power supply and low-power battery charger applications. This device incorporates a precision oscillator, a temperature-compensated reference, a high-gain error amplifier, a current-sensing comparator and a high-current totem-pole output ideally suited for driving a power MOSFET. The UC3842 features an under-voltage lockout, current limiting and a soft-start function to provide optimal control and protection for the power supply system. Its adjustable switching frequency allows for flexibility in design, while its low-start-up current and low operating current make it highly energy-efficient. This PWM controller is available in both through-hole and surface mount packages, providing designers with flexibility for integration into their designs. With its high level of integration, protection features, and flexibility, the UC3842 is a popular choice for a wide range of power supply and battery charger applications.
