The TPS62840 is a highly efficient, compact, step-down DC-DC converter designed for portable and battery-powered applications. With an input voltage range of 2.4V to 6V, it offers a wide operating range suitable for a variety of battery chemistries, making it ideal for smartphones, tablets, portable medical devices, and other handheld electronics. This device features a high-efficiency synchronous buck converter with an integrated 3.3V, 500mA LDO. Its peak efficiency of up to 95% ensures minimal power loss and longer battery life, while its small 16-pin QFN package saves board space and reduces overall system cost. The TPS62840 also offers a power-save mode for light load efficiency, dynamic voltage scaling, and a power-good (PG) output to indicate the status of the output voltage.
