The LTC4412ES6 is a precision dual supply ideal diode controller that is designed to protect power supply-bus voltages from reverse polarity connections. It provides a low-loss replacement for power OR-ing diodes and associated MOSFETs in power switchover circuits. With its low voltage drop and high fault current handling capabilities, it offers seamless switchover between two power supplies without disrupting the output voltage. This controller features a 25mV typical forward voltage drop and 50μA quiescent current, ensuring minimal power loss and high efficiency in power switchover applications. It also includes a narrow voltage hysteresis of 5mV, reducing the likelihood of oscillation during switchover. The LTC4412ES6 operates over a wide voltage range of 2.5V to 36V, making it suitable for a variety of applications in automotive, industrial, and telecommunication systems. With its compact SOT-23 package, this controller offers a high level of integration and ease of implementation in space-constrained designs.
