The ATmega32U4 is a high-performance, low-power 8-bit microcontroller based on the AVR® enhanced RISC architecture. It is part of the ATmega series, which offers a range of advanced features and powerful performance for various embedded applications. With its 32KB of in-system programmable Flash memory and 2.5KB of SRAM, the ATmega32U4 provides ample storage for application code and data. It also features 1KB of EEPROM, allowing for non-volatile data storage. One of the key highlights of the ATmega32U4 is its built-in USB 2.0 Full Speed interface, which enables seamless connectivity with other USB devices. This makes it ideal for applications such as USB peripherals, keyboards, mice, and more.
